My husband and I stopped in the sunday before thanksgiving. We barely waited 3 mins and the place was packed. The food was awesome. I had the Caribbean Monte Cristo and hubby had the Ruben. I don't think there's anything you can order that will be bad. Besides the wait staff being super friendly and helpful, the service was quick and the food was perfect. And the cheesecakes. .....OMG devine! We ended up taking half our sandwiches home and 4 pieces of cheesecake. If you don't want left overs split a sandwhich, there will be more then enough! Great family friendly place. We will definitely be back anytime we pass through.

We traveled to the Marietta Diner due to the DDD show and we wanted to experience all of the great food that we had heard about. Wait wasn't long, about 30 minutes. People were friendly. We started out with cheese sticks, they were just ok. Waiter raved about how good everything was. Even used outstanding in his comments. Service was very slow in the beginning but got better throughout the meal. My son and his gf shared a broiled seafood platter, they even give you a second salad for a $3+ up charge for sharing. This was by far an excellent choice. My daughter ordered a chicken Blt and it was less than desirable. My husband ordered the ribeye and he was assured that this was a great choice and the steak was outstanding. It was under seasoned and the veggies were bland. I ordered a gyro special with chicken. The gyro was just ok. The chicken was ok and the Greek salad was the best thing about the meal. The bread and spinach pie brought out complimentary was good. Overall it was a good experience. We would go back, , but would make different food choices. It's hard to decide on what you want due to the menu being so massive. Dessert was passed on due to them being out of what we wanted at 5:30 pm on a Sunday.

We visited the Marietta Diner on Saturday, July 21, 2012. It was worth the 30 minute wait, which we were not expecting. When you walk in the front door there are 3 cases of unbelievable desserts. I was disappointed that they did not serve the Beef Stroganoff that they fixed on DDD on Saturday’s. Call before you go to see what day they serve it. When you sit down they bring you bread and spinach pie. Both were delicious. We ordered pirogues and potato skin appetizers. For dinner we ordered the pot roast and baked pastichio. Everything was cooked perfectly. The portions were big enough to share or have leftovers. The roast beef was so tender. The roast beef dinner was served with potato, vegetable, soup and salad. The most surprising part of the meal was the chicken noodle soup. This was the best chicken noodle soup we have ever had. Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying one of the many desserts. We chose the Neapolitan cake. We had a great experience at the Marietta Diner and I can’t wait to go back and try the beef stroganoff.

Wonderful! We got there right after the breakfast rush and before the lunch rush. The service was great and quick! My husband and I both order the Marietta Breakfast Special (at least I think that's what it was called-2 eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, a bread AND two pancakes) and really enjoyed it. Their desserts looked amazing but we were too stuffed to partake. I would drive back to Georgia just to try the strawberry cheesecake!

Service was amazing! Food was pretty good to!! Our first DDD experience and certainly won't be our last :) love ya crazy Guy!!!! ;)

Loved the diner, it was clean, stylish and just fun to look at. The service was excellent and the food choices were overwhelming. I don't care for breakfast and was happy I could have anything I wanted at 8am. My husband loves breakfast and had a greek omelet and I had the Sloppy John and both were great. The bakery was as good as going to Mike's in Boston. The choices were icredible therefore had to take some to go. Cannoli and brownie cheesecake....umm. The pies were 14" in size and the cakes 10-12" tall and delicious looking. Will definately stop here again on our way to Florida. 8-)

We popped our DDD cherry at the Marietta Diner on our return home. We made a late lunch time arrival, and at first were struck with the unbelievable selection, after disregarding the other posts, we ordered 3 appetizers (spinach pie, onion rings and sweet potato fries) then a roast leg of lamb, and (sadly I'm unable to remember the name) #17 on Thursdays lunch Special (like a pork giro). WOW! The size was just a little smaller than the flavor! We ate, and ate, and then remembered the Deserts! I got the apple crumble cheese cake and Victoria got the carrot cake. We had to physically remove the deserts from each other because we could not stop eating! Amazingly the Cheese cake was over 2 inches tall, ant the carrot cake was closer to 11 inches! Thanks to all the hard working staff at the Diner, you were all very helpful!

This is our second DDD stop on our trip! It was very good! I've never seen such desserts. My husband had great beef stroganoff and I had chicken princess. It was stuffed with crab. They gave us so much food! I don't think it gets much better than this!

I've been eating at Marietta Diner for years... before they were featured on DDD. Great food at any hour of the day. Killer breakfasts all day long, wonderful sandwiches and a great dinner menu. The waiters and waitresses are mostly from eastern European countries and they go out of their way to provide excellent service. Next time I go I'll get a picture of the Stamp. Also, Uncle Gus has opened his own place in Cartersville, GA... Uncle Gus' Flavor Town.

this is our favorite show. after searching for triple d places close to home, we found this. we planned a weekend get away with this as ONE stop on the trip. We went for lunch and then for breakfast and lunch the next day. Since then we have drove up a few more times. It is well worth the 160 mile trip. Awesome food, fabulous service. We even had them box up some of the spectacular cake to take home. The also own a few other restaurants in the area. We tried the seafood place for dinner, we weren't that impressed with that one. But the dinner is a must when ever we are going that direction on our weekend get aways. loved it.

My family stopped here after we read that Guy Fieri had stopped here for his show on the Food Network. After looking at the menu online for a week before our scheduled stop we still couldn't decide what to order. they have a huge selection. Everyone was pleased by their choices and nobody walked away hungry. If you are not absolutely starving, then order one dinner entree and split it because they give you so much you can't eat it all. Save room for the deserts. When you walk in this retro diner you will see the huge selection in a display case and will have a hard time deciding which one to order. The cheesecake is probably the best I ever ate! You will not be sorry you stopped and it is only about a mile or two off the interststate just north of Atlanta. Sooo, worth stopping.

Right when you sit they give you fresh spinach pie and fresh baked bread. My husband had a fried seafood platter with lobster, catfish and shrimp it was huge and he loved it, i had chicken cutlets and they were fabulous! make sure you have dessert too, the cheesecake is to die for.

I went to this diner with my family after a long day being on a plane & being very hungry. We heard how you went to this diner & wanted to see what it was about. Oh gosh, the diner was amazing! My parents got the burgar & the gyros while I ordered a waffle with fruit. The protions are HUGE but the thing that won all of us over was the great service from the waiters & George being very nice to us & making us feel comfortble. On the way out he made sure to get to know us (we are from long island ny) & we will make sure to be back for dessert.

This place reminded me of the good old diners that i was into when i was in college at rochester, ny. I had the beef stroganoff and it came with a cup of soup - seafood bisque. lots and i mean lots of food. I was full from the soup but then the beef stroganoff came out and it was huge, i mean huge for the price. had to take it home. My niece got a kids cheese burger and it was 6oz burger with a full order of fries. i loved the lights and the service was great.

Marietta Diner was wonderful for lunch. Had a delicious reuben with outstanding sweet potato fries! The soup that came with the sandwiches was good - not great. The server gave us some incorrect information about the desserts but there are so many, I would get them mixed up, too! No matter because the coconut cream pie and the chocolate fudge cake we chose were incredible!!! So good that I ordered a chocolate mousse cake for my out-of-town dad's 80th birthday. We are looking forward to that!

This place whoops alotta @ss, let me tell ya'! This is a REAL diner where people hustle to get your food out and it is not a greasy spoon either - the food is fresh and tasty! Lotsa room for couples and families, and then there is the counter where all the dining-alone losers like me sit. Waitstaff was dead on and helpful and they even got the tea right! All food is prepared as ordered - didin't see a single heat lamp (yeech!), fresh and tasty! No hack place this - good food at a fair price - HIGHLY recommended! Vegas

While visiting some friends in Atlanta, they took us to the Marietta Diner for breakfast before we left. I thought the place was "iconic", but didn't figure the food would be that great. Boy, was I ever wrong!! We ate like kings! The service was great, even for a busy Sunday morning. The food was phenominal!! Can't wait to go back soon! :)
