BOBBIE HAD THE CORNED BEEF HASH AND I HAD THE GREENICH VILLAGE CORNED BEEF SANDWICH. BOTH WERE EXCELLENT. BOBBIE LIKES HER HASH CRISPY; IT WAS COOKED TO PERFECTION, FULL OF CORNED BEEF AND MADE FROM SCRATCH. THE SANDWICH I HAD WAS CORNED BEEF AND COLE SLAW; WHAT A FLAVORFUL TREAT. THE PLACE WAS CLEAN AND THE PEOPLE VERY FRIENDLY. WE LIVE IN FLORIDA; I'M NOT CERTAIN WHEN OR IF WE WILL GET TO KANSAS CITY AGAIN, BUT IF I DO, MAMA'S WILL BE ON MY LIST OF PLACES TO EAT.THANKS TO EVERYONE AT MAMA'S FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO.JERRY & BOBBIE SWEETZEPHYRHILLS, FL

39th St. Mama's is not the same as "Mama's" featured on DDD. Since I am newer to KC, I am assuming they moved into the larger location. The show features a cute, homey place in a neighborhood. It's new location is neither cute or homey. I took a friend the first time and had the corned beef hash which was ok. I went a second time and had the pork tenderloin sandwich; it was big but nothing special. In my opinion, there are better lunch and breakfast spots in the area. Whatever they had at the original location has not transferred to the new one.

Would definetly recommend diner. Food was great, atmosphere very relaxing and service was very good. I had mile high rueben, wife had Jersey Joe and daughter had chili cheese fries (true chili cheese fries). Menu is huge, like sixty different omeletts. Was in town for business and just stopped by, great decision.
