DJ's Clam Shack was created in late 2009 when two lower keys restaurateurs decided to combine years of experience to create easily accessible fresh seafood on Duval St. in Key West. The newly formed partnership was steeped in rich northeast seafood tradition, one partner hailing from Ipswich, Massachusetts the other from Blue Point, New York. Mix in over forty years of living, fishing and working the Florida keys, with its variety and incredible bounty of seafood, a recipe for success begins to emerge.

I went with the wife and kids and sat right in front. We enjoyed watching the people walk by and the food was amazing. The best lobster roll I have ever eaten. My daughter ate a basket of fried little neck clams which were delicious. We went back the next day and ordered 4 different items. Everything was great and this place is by far our favorite dive in key west!!!

Went there 3 days ago, heard it was great place to eat from triple d. Had the steamed clams, they had more sand in them than the beach does. Terrible!!! Also the lobster roll was bad too. I left and they would only give me 1/2 my money back. Never again.

Great Lobster roll but the conch fritters were aweful

I had heard all positive comments but had never tried it even though I've lived here for years and work on Duval st. It was awesome. I had the fresh yellowtail ffingers and the best conch fritters in my life! Crispy on the outside, pasty on the inside with flavor that explodes in your mouth. When you chew there ws plenty of Conch that gave you that gritty chew you like with a good fritter. They are known for their New England clams and Lobster rolls which I will try next time. I was surprised They had a little dining room in the back. Cool funky place with great seafood.

Yay husband and I were in Key West last week and are at DJ Clam Shack. We both had the lobster sandwich and wished we could have had two. The food was amazing and the owners were very nice. We will come back again.
