Not a bad place to grab a burger and a beer. Not exactly MY favorite place but still good. The wait staff was great, very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable of the many different microbrews.

My wife had the meatloaf and absolutely loved it. I got a small sample of it and I can understand why she liked it so much, and meatloaf is not something I ever really eat. My son had the wings and they were pretty good - nothing extremely different, but taste was solid. They did not have very many of the brews available, which was a little disappointing, as I enjoyed what I did have. We will certainly go back next time in Tampa.

Visited 18 Oct 2012. The have a very nice beer sampler, but be sure to take a cab. Ordered the Bomber, Hamburger wrapped in pizza dough. It was awesome. Sat outside at the bar, great staff, fast service. I hope I get the opportunity to go again.

Visited for lunch on 05/31/12 and found the service to be very friendly and faster than I expected. The cigar roller sandwich was delicious and the side of black beans and rice were incredibly tasty.  I tried a seasonal ale and found it so good I wanted a second pint instead of trying another new brew.  The other menu items looked like there was something for everyone so I feel it is worth the time to try if you are in the Tampa/Ybor City area.

Visited this past weekend. Onion rings are fantastic especially with the dipping sauce. The homemade rootbeer, should be called rootbeer barrel candy x 1000! Its way strong unless you love, I mean want to marry rootbeer, I would probably stay away. The Meatloaf on the menu was fantastic, mash potatos were the star of the show. However, the covered it in fried onion straws, if they reduced the amount of those, it would have been awesome not great. I would go back.

Very inconsistent.  One trip fantastic food and drinks, the next trip convinced me not to go back for a while.  Their crafted rootbeer is fantastic when its not flat.  They served it flat, asked for a fresh one, never received it, and they charged me for it.  Then ordered breadpudding, put my spoon in it and it "clunked"on something.  Ask the waitress about it, she took it to the kitchen, and was told it was a candied choclate cherry. If I had put it in my mouth I would have broken a tooth or choked.  Was charged for the dessert also.  Two strikes, you're out!  Sorry Tampa Bay Brewing Company - we miss the good old days.

We visited Tampa Bay Brewing Company on April 17, 2011, because we saw it on the Flavortown USA website and were planning on visiting the Tampa area. (Noted it is not yet listed on the Food Network website.) Restaurant/bar located in old historical Ybor City (Tampa) which is subject to street closures due to local festivals (as it was when we went), but we did manage to find parallel street parking about a block away (for lunch). This is a clean, upscale pub-style restaurant, with microbrewery on site. Various home brews available, from pale to very dark, with varying alcohol content, and new brews are routinely available. They will bring tasting shots before you buy which is good because the beers are so unique. Hubby had the Moosekiller, which was quite stout with 16% alcohol content. Menu was standard pub food, nice variety, but somewhat pricy. Most sandwiches, burgers and pizzas started at $9. Entrees ranged in cost from $10-$20. We were there for lunch, and hubby had the cuban sandwich, which was "what Guy had." It was good, no surprises, pretty much what you'd expect from a cuban sandwich. What was really fantastic, however, were the "Firecracker Shrimp" on the appetizer menu. Cost $10 and you got about 10 shrimp -- it was the best spiced shrimp dish I have ever eaten, in any style restaurant. The wait staff were very nice and personable. Service was wonderful. Manager came to speak with us and was very excited about the DDD special, date of airing still as yet unknown. Advice: If you live in Tampa, go here. If you're a DDD fan, plan to come here. This is a fantastic restaurant, especially for beer connoisseurs. We have friends in Tampa and will definitely go back.
