My fourth time at Q Fanatic. Is by far one of my favorites of the 31 DDD spots I've been so far. Took my dad and future brother-in-law who I warned before going that by taking them there I'm going to ruin them on anything that is supposably BBQ in our town. We got the picnic platter which was recomended for four people and the three of us devoured it in no time. First time I had the pulled chicken there too which all of us found to be amazing and a shock concidering you mainly think ribs, pulled pork and brisket when it comes to BBQ and not chicken. My future bro-in-law said to lady at the counter that he was officially ruined on BBQ from our town as we left. Oh and they are remodling dining area since last time I was there and is very nice.

We've been to a few DDD BBQ venues (and some of the Man Versus Food BBQ venues). [Does expressing my fondness for MVF on a DDD fansite make me an apostate?] QFanatic falls somewhere near the middle. But that's also an elite group. As a better comparison to all other BBQ places, not just those featured on a TV show, QFanatic would be the best Q-joint in my hometown by a wide margin. That said, we did enjoyed our meals a lot. I had pulled pork and my wife had the brisket. The sides were sizable and the Asian slaw was a tasty, non-traditional, side dish. The espresso BBQ sauce was great and the honey BBQ was very good. Service was very quick as we were served within 5-6 minutes of ordering on a Friday evening.

Very disppointing. Took 35-40 minutes to get so-so BBQ. Famous Dave's puts them to shame and it's a chain. Notice how Guy doesn't ever say how good it is or show him in the kitchen tasting? Well done Guy! I wouldn't put my stamp of approval on it either!

...must have hit it on an off night...ribs overcooked, pulled pork a tad on the fatty side, new potato side undercooked, grilled veggie side soso (sauce didn't add any flavor), pecan/gorganzola salad fresh but not special and just ok corn fritters. I tried three of the BBQ sauces and they WERE GOOD. I don't like giving bad reviews but based on 4 people, one visit, I wouldn't return. After reading the reviews below, I might be inclined to give it a second chance...

I have been to DDD BBQ locations in California, Salt Lake city, Memphis and this was the best so far. The ladies had a sandwich they loved and i had ribs which were also good. Since I live 50 miles away I'll go back.

Probably my favorite stop of all the Triple D locations I've been to. Was in the process of buying an 06 Pontiac GTO in late April early May, and this place was not far from dealership I got car at. Went for test drive and stopped here after. The next day went to look at car again, and stopped in again. And the next weekend came to buy the car, and stopped by with the car this time, as celebration lunch. Glad I don't live too close as would be there everyday. Now if only someone in my area could figure out how to make BBQ even 1/2 as good as this I would be happy as it is about 5 hours from where I live. Even with the GTO.

This place is dangerous because it is within walking distance of where Mona and I live. All the hype you hear on the show true. There isn't a better BBQ joint in the state. Forget that "famous" guy. These guys know how to BBQ right.
