I went here in April of 2014 and honestly I felt it was over-rated. The food tasted like something you could get anywhere and the show honestly was not that spectacular. The only thing I really enjoyed was the view of the ocean and honestly I could have got that for free at any of the beaches.
Went to Germaine's Nov 8, 2011. It was a lot of fun and they put on a good show. Be warned that the address on Hobron is their office. The luau itself is on the west side of the island so a 45 minutes drive from Honolulu and Wiakiki.
I went here way back in 1998 so I'm sure it's a little different now. The Luau was amazing. It was beautiful and the highlight of my Hawaiian vacation. I was only 20 years old at the time so I didn't really judge food too clearly. I remember liking the pig but also being grossed out by seeing it get lowered into the ground. Now that I'm older I'm sure I would love it and I no longer find it gross! All in all it was a great experience and I'd gladly go back!
