My wife, sister, and I stopped to try some of the DDD favorites. The pasty, homemade corn beef hash, and scotch eggs were really good. The red flannel hash weren't too impressive, but we definitely will be back. Service were polite and on top of things even with a full house.

My family stopped in for dinner on Memorial Day weekend. It was full, but we got seated right away. Kids had breakfast foods and they looked really good. I had the Dakota dip sandwich. Full of flavor and not greasy. I was very happy with my choice. We picked 2 desserts to share amongst the 4 of us. Should have only gotten one. They were heavenly. Very fresh and tasty.

I used to live in Duluth. This was hands down my favorite place to eat. Their burgers are not great, often overcooked. Their bison pot roast and their desserts make up for the mediocrity of their other dishes though. I've had the banana cream and key lime pies. They were both amazing. Their pancakes are to die for. Overall, having a good experience here is dependent on ordering the right dish. Give it a couple chances and it will become your favorite.

Stopped on a whim in July 2011 - my boyfriend knows that I am a fan of the show and we were on our way to Lake Vermillion. I had the buffalo burger and he had the Pasty - Both were most delicious. I very much enjoyed the homemade ketchup. Hope that we can go back this summer on our way to Lake Vermillion again.

On a recent family trip to Duluth we stopped in on a Friday at lunchtime...place was packed! We were really excited for our first DDD experience. We were seated fairly quickly. I ordered the pasty. It was disappointingly ok. My mother-in-law is Finnish and her pasty has much more flavor. The gravy was good with it as the pasty itself was pretty dry. My wife had the Guda burger. The burger was so over-cooked and gray that it literally had no flavor whatsover. My wife scraped off the cheese and onions and ate that instead of the burger. My daughter had the mac-n-cheese which was also uninspiring. Overall the experience was disappointing but sometimes that happens when you are really excited togo somewhere to eat.

Stopped by on my May MN DDD Roadtrip. Only had time to try dessert as was trying out the others in Duluth in same 2 days. And the banana cream pie was as amazing as it looked on DDD. My parents stopped by there when they were in Duluth and had the main food and loved it. They (and their server) said I had to come back and try main menu food too. And I do plan on doing that.

Wonderful pancakes, and sweet potato fries, The food was great. The menu shows which dishes were on triple D. not really a diner, drive in or dive, just a family restaurant.

Great salads with homemade dressings - love their raspberry vinegarette. Absolutely excellent red flannel hash (with sweet potatoes), Marvelous french toast, sweet rolls, soups, turkey burgers. They have gluten free menu items as well.

I hold business meetings there as well as am always sure to bring out of towners or first timers there. I can always count on the food to be fresh and tasty. They strive to create a varied menu and use local producers for many of their ingredients. The employees are exemplary from the owners who always have time to chat down to the bus people who are so friendly and attentive. All around the Duluth Grille is a "must to" stop if you are visiting beautiful Duluth MN.
