If you are a chowder fan you will forget every other chowder you've had... this is the bomb. My last bowl had 18 shrimp..not to mention the scallops, clams and everything else that piles in. Second trip through had it for breakfast!

I was disappointed with the seafood chowder, the broth was very tasty, but it lacked the seafood, my wife had the Grilled Chicken Breast sandwich which was good.

Help. When making the recipe on the show for the Chowder they used half and half. But the recipe that I got off line calls for light cream and milk. Does anyone know which one is correct?

If your going to eat anywhere in Maine and you are looking for traditional Maine food eat here!!!! They have a wide variety of things to try and everything I had was excellent. I plan on stopping here everytime I visit Maine which is a lot!

We were on vacation this past June in Ogunquit, we looked up any nearby triple D places and found the Maine Diner. It was quite busy at lunch but since we said we would eat at the counter we only waited 5 minutes. The food was absolutely incredible! I had the Jim Nance - seafood chowder and a lobster roll. My wife the lobster roll. We recommend this to everyone who really wants the best. We will go back next year and will be sure to go back to the diner.

This place is worth the detour, no matter how long the detour is!!! The service is great and the food is just out of this world. The seafood chowder is amazing, just like everything else we had. Thanks to the staff (and the food), we had a great time.

My family ate at this place while on vaction and the food was so good. I recommend this place to anyone who want a home style cooked meal on the road. Make sure you arrive early but if you have to wait it is worth it.

We had the opportunity to visit this diner while we attended a beach wedding in July 2011. The food was boring, lacked flavour and imagination and was overpriced for the quality. We all thought that this diner was a dissappointment considering the tv show and the reviews. The lobster pie was bland and was some lobster with butter in a chintzy pie. The rolls were plainly stuffed on boring white bread. The only decent dish was the mac and cheese with the sausage on the side. Of course, this was no better than boxed mac and cheese and frozen sausages from costco. All-in-all a huge disappointment.

Planned a vacation to Ogunquit Maine and also planned where to eat. We had the the Lobster Pie and Seafood Chowder that came with an amazing corn muffin which we normally aren't fans of. Market Price, but worth the splurge.
