PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS PLACE. I love DDD. And i have visited places all around the country, including GA, NY, OH, MO, KS, CO. I do not know why Guy recommended this place. I got the Chicken sandwich and could not figure out what seasoning was in it. I could not eat it. My wife got the cuban. NO flavor at all in the pulled pork. French fries were oily. Beer was way overpriced. The onion rings were OK and thats it. The waitress was very kind and did not charge me for the sandwich. So i paid for a cuban sandwich and a beer. $17. Please! Really?! In fact, Restaurant impossible should visit this place. Help it out Robert Irvin Please.

Made it to my first DDD in my hometown. Visited with my brother on 9/29/12 and the food and service was great. We shared the Cuban Sandwich ( Best Cuban I've eaten, better than Miami and Key West too) So good I ordered one to go. We also shared the Suribacchi Burger. The taste was unique, burger was so so, would have been better just grilled. The Wasabi slaw was the bomb. Ordered a quart to go too. Also ordered the Steve Martin Jerk chicken sandwich to go. Wow a full thick chicken breast, that I had 2 meals from it. Great taste and well seasoned. Would highly recommend. Got a quart of Chili to go, it was great too.
Definitely will be back with friends, or just order Fidel Castro, Steve Martin and Chili to go. 4.5 Chef hats ( forget the deep fry on the burger) and 5 star service

Several of us in my office go on a DDD adventure once a month.  December's choice was Swagger's.  We really enjoyed it.  The onion rings are 'da bomb".   I ordered the "Steve Martin"--jerk chicken sandwich--it was great, but of all things....the pasta salad was FABULOUS.  Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Husband had the surubachi burger and loved it. He likes hot stuff and was sweating after one bite. I ordered the undead Texan; it didn't have much flavor even with all the stuff on it. The grilled cheese barely had cheese was mostly just dry bread. Yes they have a great selection of beer and whiskey. Waitress forgot our drinks. I tried my son's plain burger and didn't care for the meat flavor. For eats- nothing special.

Went with a group of friends to check this out.  Dead Texans, Suribachi Burger, Fidels, and Steve Martins ordered.  We all thought the food was great and will return again.

My husband and I also saw this place on DDD and despite the bad review, decided to give it a try.  My husband was very intrigued by the Suribachi Burger as he loves Sriracha sauce and Wasabi.  He thought the burger was very good, but could have been more spicy.  The waitress told us that a lot of people ordered it because they saw it on the show, but then sent it back because it was too spicy..... so I wonder if they changed it some??  We also tried the Flying Monkey Chili and it was very good... a little too spicy for me... but that's not hard as I'm not a fan of spicy food.   I tried the Fidel Castro sandwich with pulled pork, ham and swiss cheese.  I don't like pickle or dijon mustard and they had no problem making the sandwich without those.  It was a very good combination of flavors.   I did think the fries were a little greasy, but they had good salt and flavor.  They had a huge selection of beer and we picked the house beer and it was very good.  I would go there again and did not think the place was horrible by any means.

We were in KC last weekend and decided to try Swagger - my husband saw it on DDD.  The food was terrible!  We tried the menu items that were featured on DDD.  The pulled pork had no flavor, the slaw was bland and the bar-b-que sauce was bitter and very sour.  My husband and son-in-law tried the burgers that had been featured.  They said they would never order them again.  In fact, the only thing that had any flavor was the fries.  No worries -- this is a place that we will never go back to.  Horrible, horrible, horrible!
