We tried Virgil's after hitting the awesome DDD-featured Terry's Turf Club and the really good Blue Ash Chili. This place is not a Diner, Drive-In, or Dive. As another reviewer alluded to, it's just not a DDD kind of place. The food is good certainly...we had ettoufe and the chili-chicken entres at around $15 apiece. They were ok but nothing special. The frog legs, however, were very good as were the hushpuppies. What bothered me most is we got an initial look as if we had walked into the wrong place from the hostess. I wore casual as did my daughter. Our server, however, was very nice. If you're looking for a $40-50 lunch in a nice atmosphere, go here. If you're looking for no-kidding DDD greatness, hit Terry's Turf Club about 15 minutes north.

We would have never found this gem without DDD. Excellent food! Fresh, local ingredients, and a creative flare you won't find anywhere else. Guests wore anything from jeans and shorts to business casual. Staff was friendly and attentive. Before being seated we overheard two different parties raving about the food and we agree. Five Star Food at a very fair price. We can't wait to come back down (2 hour drive from Columbus, OH) and bring friends/family with us next time.

Must disagree with the comments below. Thought the room was comfortable, the staff friendly and the food excellent and fairly priced. it might not qualify as a Diner, Dive or Drive In but is a great independently owned neighborhood restaurant. I had the ribs with the beans and sweet potatoe fries and my wife had pan fried scallops on couscous putenesca. Great flavors all around. We'll be back, often.

I'm sorry but this food is horrible, could never recomend to anyone. They don't carry Pepsi or Coke they make their own soft drinks. Again horrible

This is hardly a Diner, Drive-In or Dive. I walked in the door, was asked if I had a reservation (half of the tables were vacant), and simply turned around to walk out. Look at the menu - interesting if you want to spend $50 for dinner, but nowhere near what the premise of the show is. I don't blame Guy for wanting to eat at a 'nice' place once in a while, but please don't review it as a local diner-type dive. Reservations? No thanks, if I want to do that, I'll visit one of Jeff Ruby's steakhouses instead!
