Guy Fieri Eats (2)

Here are the dishes that Guy Fieri featured on the show

  • Went there recently and as someone else mentioned, I think it is run by a different owner now. They still brand themselves as having been on DDD though. The classics from DDD are still there and taste delicious, so I'd still say its a good place to try.
  • Lobster rolls

Food was great, parking is a nightmare! Typical of the so Cal beach communities so be prepared for metered parking if you are lucky. The female cashier showed little in the personality department but all of the other staff was spot on. We were there during breakfast but were able to order lunch except the Fettucine Carbonara, bummer. The benjets were warm and delicious. Chorizo and Egg tacos were great.

Wow -- *fantastic* pasta, awesome egg rolls (so huuuuuge!), and it's hard to say enough about the excellent service. You can really tell this crew is having fun, and enjoying the beautiful food they make. The reviews on this page do not lie -- this is one of the very best DDD spots we've ever been to.

Outstanding food! My family of five came in road-weary and found this place on the flavortownusa website. Only 3 miles from our hotel. It was a Sunday night and there was no wait. Extremely friendly and attentive service. We had the pork egg rolls, which were incredible, then the fettucine carbonara, pork & shrimp fried rice, penne fra diablo and an incredible filet mignon with gorgonzola sauce. All of the meals were out of this world! They make great use of local mushrooms in the penne fra diablo and shrimp & pork fried rice. I would go back and have any of the four meals again. The filet mignon was probably the best of that cut I've ever had, and the sauce is decadent. Try this place, even if you have to drive a ways to get to it!

Five Stars! I must say this was one of the best Triple D joints I've been to yet! My Wife and I drove down around 2:00 when the traffic was light and had no problem finding The North End Caffe.  The service was amazing; the food arrived in less than 10 minuets both times (we walked down to the beach and came back for dinner), the server was prompt, and they had cold beer on tap. We tried the Fuego Burger, an Alicia sandwich, the Mac-N-Cheese, and the Kahlua Egg Rolls. Everything was delicious, but DO NOT SKIP THE EGG ROLLS!!!
    We'll be going back soon!

Awesome! I couldn't have been more pleased.  The rolls were incredible, everything from the actual rolls to the sauce which was the icing on a great meal.

i've been to about 20 DDD places over the last few years. this place completely lived up to my expectations and easily has the best food so far. we had a burger, the eggrolls, and the carbonara. everything was great.  the place is tiny, parking can be a pain, and the wait can be pretty long, but  it is all well worth it.

This place was great the spring rolls and carbonara was awwesome. The portions are big enough to feed two people. My wife and I split the order and still had some left over.

Tried the North End Cafe after seeing it on Triple D and was blown away by the quality and the awesomeness of the food. We try to get back as often as possible and try new things, but we always have to get a plate of the Kahlua Pork Egg Rolls, absolutely devine. If your anywhere near this place it is well worth checking out

I just ate there, and they're known for their Trio of Dawgs (three unique hot dogs) and their Short Rib Po Boy.

My husband and I went tonight.  You should definitely try the eggroll, or at least split one with a friend.  The bread that the sandwiches come on is most excellent.  Good brie there.

I went to North End Cafe because i had a business trip in the LAX area and remembered seeing North End on DDD. It was worth the extra time it took to drive to Manhattan Beach and not settle for other another restaurant before heading back to the airport. The egg rolls filled with meat were exceptional as well as the limeade/ginger ale concoction. I tried the short ribs and a garlic chicken dish. I also had the opportunity to try their desserts and would highly recommend this joint to all those visiting the Los Angeles area. One other thing to mention is that my food came out within 10 minutes of me ordering. Great service, food and staff. Can't wait to return on my next trip to the West Coast.

The address on the webpage for North End Caffe states the address as "3521", not 3421?
