Pagoda Restaurant

Posted by Rick but came in thru email, this is from a fan => In 2010 as part of an Alaskan land/cruise, this was the restaurant if you wanted to visit North Pole. We walked in and saw the picture from this episode and thought the food must be good. Actually, it was the best Chinese food ever. Wish it was closer to home!!!

Wow!! I don't normally like Chineese food but this was the best I have ever had. I had the Mongolian Beef -- it was tender and delightful. My wife had the Sesame Chicken and it was good a well. Lot's of Air Force people go there so you know it must be good LOL

By far the best Chinese food I've ever had.  Why it's located in North Pole is a mystery, but well worth the trip.

As a lifetime Texan I ran to Ak and ended up in North Pole for 7yrs.  I loved the cold even at -67!  This was my favorite place to eat.  Good fresh and cooked without the rancid oil taste. I think I only ate in once.  Safeway was across the parking lot and after a tiring jaunt for groceries I always stopped by Pagoda so I wouldn't have to cook. N.P. is the only town I know where most of the parking lot in winter had cars running when it was less than o'.  Country Cafe opened right before I came back home to care for Mom.  I did eat at the Elks Lodge cafe.  Worst food, service and the place stunk but that was over 3yrs ago.  Sounds like It is greatly improver now and I would try it again if I had the chance.

We just went here for dinner.  It's even BETTER than the show described!  Wow!!!  This is our new favorite place in AK!   :-D

great dining experince

I had to go to Pagoda after the show just to try the steak and what a wonderful dinner we had and the service was fantasic too.
