The wife and I got up and decided to drive the hour up to Cleveland for breakfast. It was worth it! Our service was dead on. Like other Triple "D" joints we ordered different items then split them; corned beef hash and the biscuits & gravy. All I can say is, "Mom, you and that 125 year old cast-iron skillet gotta run for the money! I didn't even notice there were NO salt & pepper shakers on the table until we were leaving.

On a trip to Cleveland to bicycle the Ohio & Erie Canalway, my wife and I had the pleasure of having lunch at Lucky’s Café. To our surprise we found the café in a nondescript building in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The interior was delightful, a cross between an upscale café and a small neighborhood restaurant. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Now to the food, we both had the Rubin Sandwich, the one featured on DDD and it did not disappoint. We both agreed that the homemade Thousand Island dressing really took this Rubin over the top. If you find yourself in Cleveland, I would highly recommend Lucky’s as a great place to enjoy a quite lunch.

Saw Lucky's on DDD so wanted to try it since this was our first visit to Cleveland. My wife & I each had the biscuits and gravy; our son had the shipwreck. The food was awesome as was the service. A large glass of OJ and two coffees rounded out the meal. Bill was $50 which sounds pricey for breakfast but this is NOT Denny's or IHOP so I did not mind it at all (and I'm a well known tight-wad). Food was fresh and delicious. Service was impeccable; they treated us like we were regulars who come there a couple of times a week.

Hands-down the best Mac n' Cheese I have ever had!!! And to top it all off, the service was fabulous. My server advised me the applesauce was not a side, but more to accompany the dish. I never would have thought to pair them both up on the fork at the same time. Amazing recommendation!! Thanks!!!

This place is AMAZING! A unique little place using local and fresh ingredients. We had the Lucky Burger, the Reuben, and shared a Mac & Cheese. Also had a Berry Soda and Papa Mocha. It was all incredibly delicious. Add to the fantastic eats, Brandon who was simply the best server ever. He could really talk about the food, the ingredients, and have a laugh too. We got desserts to go, which also did not disappoint. If you get the chance, find this place and eat! Definitely do not miss the Mac & Cheese!

Seriously some of the best food I have ever eaten!!!!! Headed to Put-in-Bay and Cleveland for our Anniversary and wanted to check our first DDD restaurant. Lucky's was bit off the beaten path, but sooooo worth it. The atmosphere was nice and the garden outside was just blooming and looked so appealing. Customer Service was great! I had the the scallion biscuits and gravy, my husband had the breakfast burrito and we both had the bacon. It was heaven! The biscuits had egg on top which kept them firm and tasty. The owner's Mom was floating around and was a hoot. We had a great time and left completely satisfied. My husband and I are planning to make another 6hr trip to eat there again.

Took the family to Cleveland to see a ball game and decided to stay over. After much debate we decided to try and find Lucky's Cafe as we had seen it on DDD. The atmosphere is quaint, the service was amazing. Our waitress was very personable and helpful. The food.... The Mac and Cheese was AMAZING!! I can't stress enough that if you decide to vist this place you should get it. The Lucky Burger was very good and I really liked how all the tastes went together ( well except I had them hold the carmalized onions). The brilliance of he sandwich is that even though you have a hamburger on an English muffin type bun with a fried egg, bacon, and cheese the tastes did not overwhelm eachother and as you chew you actually taste every item seperately as you chew, amazing. The wife had the shipwreck, she wasn't as satisfied with that as she said he eggs were just a little to cooked but the 3 hour drive home all 5 of us could not stop mentioning the Mac...lookin forward to next time we visit Lucky's

My son and I had breakfast here in November. The food was wonderful. We also purchased an assortment of pastries to take home with us. They were enjoyed by members of our family, who now want to co back to Cleveland and take them so they can enjoy the food we told them about. A great place to eat. Go if you have the chanc.

Awesome Mac n Cheese and I had to get some additional homeade applesauce to go!

Off the beaten path but worth the search. Charming inside and out with views of their produce gardens while enjoying homemade yummy food. I had the sandwich special: Grilled swiss with mushrooms and a cup of their freshly made tomato soup - perfect on a wet, dreary day. I read that their bacon mac & cheese was awesome, so I ordered it to go with a few brownies and macaroons and shared with friends at dinner time at home. I would definatley return - next time to try out breakfast

My 14 year old son and I are on a Triple D road trip and this was his first DDD experience and it could not have been better! Patrick, our server was very generous with his time, not only in explaining their philosophy about using locally grown products, homemade breads and farm fresh items from their own garden, but also sharing his knowledge of the area and obvious pride in the area and Cleveland in general. Now the food . . . fabulous!! I had the shipwreck and my son had the Lucky burger. To quote my son . . . "that burger could not have been any better!" My lunch was wonderful and I especially enjoyed the homemade bread and jam.The entire experience was a treat.

My husband grew up in Cleveland and we always go back for X-mas. Went to Luckys after hearing about it on Trip-D and it was not what was on the show. We went for the Cornedbeef Hash-NONE. The waitress looked at us like we didnt know where we were. I had the Shipwreck no chives. When I got it there were chives, it was dry and i tasted it for the rest of the day. My husband and son ordered the buscuits and gravy. We all agreed my husband makes better ( he is a good cook). Over all we will not be going back.

We made a stop on our way to visit with family for 4th of July. We always aim for DDD spots....and this was a big hit. I ate the Rueben and holy COW it was beyond amazing. My husband had the mac and cheese, which was DELISH, but heavy. My kids got a Shipwreck to share, and my husband was picking off the plate, he said it was insanely good. We really enjoyed the staff, looking at the garden where they grow their own stuff, and will be back next time we are anywhere near Cleveland!

I would make a special trip to Cleveland just to eat here. My husband had the biscuits and gravy and I had the Rueben. Best dishes we have ever had!!! I wish we could eat here again and again. Come for the food, but stay for the atmosphere!!! Loved you all!!!

Stop number two on a DDD road trip . . . stopped in for Saturday morning brunch. This place is full of positive energy and even better food. Had the special "spring harvested asparagus/brie omlette" and my partner in crime had the waffle (which I ended up finishing for her). Patrick was awesome and we even found out he had been to our hometown to see the greatful dead back in the day. A great establishment with a great philosophy (organic, local, real food made from scratch right down to the jam and hot sauce)

My Husband and I enjoyed mac and cheese..and the homade rueben at 10:00 a.m. If you have such yummy options who needs breakfast. The food was awesome, we were made to feel very welcome and what a great business to support...organic and supporting local farmers. Thanks CC and Patrick.

This place is a MUST....... WOW it was so AWSOME. My husband and I travel ALOT on business and so we try and add some fun into our travels by visiting places Guy has been to. The service was GREAT, the place was small but very cute and clean. I had the bisquits/gravy wow out of world, I loved the green onion and cheddar cheese that was cooked into the bisquits. The potatoes that came with it were very tasty too. I can't even remember what my hubby had because I was so into my plate of yummy food LOL

What a great place! We were there on a Friday morning for breakfast. The granola was fantatic as was the biscuits with eggs. The service was really friendly. We bought cookies to go and really wish we'd bought more.

We were staying in downtown Cleveland for one night and found this place on the DDD website. We took our four kids there and had an awesome experience! We arrived 15 minutes before the kitchen opened so the owner's daughter took us all on a tour of the gardens and yard. She gave us a first rate tour! My kids even got to eat some of the home grown tomatoes! We ate the dish called, "Shipreck", and of course the waffles. I loved it and would highly recommend it!

In Cleveland for a few days and tried a few Triple D places. Lucky's lived up to its reputation and then some. We went twice, once on a Friday morning and then again on Sunday for brunch. Everything was fantastic and lived up to its billing. The wait staff is enthusiastic and clearly takes great pride in their product. The Rueben is amazing, wish they sold the Thousand Island Dressing!Biscuits and Sausage gravy anywhere else will now never be as good as we had at Lucky's. The Granola, the Mac and Cheese, the Peach Berry Cobbler, etc. were all outstanding. Can't wait to go back.

I enjoyed the Lucky Burger yesterday. It was delicious and I am looking forward to going back for the weekend brunch. To top it off, I got to meet Michael Symon when I was paying for my bill at the counter. Very down-to-earth guy.

Lucky's Cafe is a great place. My wife and I visited for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Wonderful food; fresh and nicely-prepared. Most (if not all) breads & pastries are house-made. It's cold & snowy now, but it looks like the patio will be a nice place to be in warmer weather. I can't wait to go back for lunch.

Great, unusual farm to table food. Wait staff knew lots about the food, and the food was outstanding. I would go back in a heart beat. Fun atmosphere, as well. I loved this place.
