Now the Madison Diner. Was really fun stop. Had a blast taking the ferry over to Bainbridge Island and eating here and exploring the island. I had the chorizo scramble and mom had the corn meal pancakes combo with ham and eggs. We both really enjoyed getting a chance to eat in a classic diner like this. We later bumped into another set of Triple D fans while on the island and the Bainbridge Island Brewery. They ride their motorcycles everywhere and we got talking about all the breweries and DDD spots we've stopped at on our travels. They weren't aware of the Madison Diner though and we let them know about it. They said they'd stop in for lunch and I hope they did as is great spot to add to a Triple D Road Trip.

Yes they are open under the name Madison DIner http://www.themadisondiner.com... . I had the "Madison Monster" and a blackberry shake both were very good. For those of you who don't care for meat they also have meals with a little green leaf to signify no meat.

Hi Rick, I recently purchased the Big Star Diner on Bainbridge Island, and noticed that your site lists it as closed. We are indeed open, under a new name "The Madison Diner". I took over in April, and since we've SCRUBBED this place until it's squeeky-shiny inside and out. We've also upgrade the food quality, while staying true to classic diner-style food. Can you please update your listing to reflect these changes and indicate that we are indeed open? Please don't hesitate to contact me, should you have any questions. I can be reached at: [email protected] Thanks for your time! Cyndi Moody, Owner The Madison Diner Bainbridge Island, WA 98110

I have family that lives on Bainbridge and have been told it is not worth the trip. I have been to the Streamliner Diner as Dive Fan suggested and it was GREAT! I would recommend it to anyone visiting the island!

Went for lunch mid October ordered Cheese Burgers, Med Rare...got them crispy on the outside and raw in the middle, left 3/4 of the burger. I would steer away from the burgers. Loved the onion rings and fries. Pretty pricy for what we ate. Don't know if I would stop again.

This place has changed ownership more often than my kid's diaper is changed. Of all the owners, Big Star was better, but that doesnt say much. Now it's called Richies 305 Diner (funny as it's not on Hwy 305) and was open for a while then closed for many months. It might have reopened, but spare yourself the time in going. If you are looking for a great breakfast place on Bainbridge Island, swing by the Streamliner Diner. There is normally a line for weekend breakfasts in the summer.
