Ich war zufällig in der Stadt und bin auch nur zufällig auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Es war Klasse. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Visited Cafe Pita 28th Dec 2011 - cafe was closed... but opened some doors to the right in a bigger spot... pfff Worth to visit! Had the possibility to have early dinner sitting outside in the nice December sun. Very positive experience; Food was as good as Guy promotes, service very pleasant with good explanation of the food possibilities. Pricing more then fair. For use Europeans a very good experience!

The food isn't all that and somewhat bland.  I tried the stuffed hamburger which was tasteless and hardly stuffed.  Only visited because of Guy.  The pita bread is tough.  The only tasty item was the eggplant dip appetizer.

Great food.  The place is small and is busy at peak times like Niko Niko's but if you like meat (like someone said below) you'll like this place.  Interesting twists on pretty simple food.  The Burek (meat stuffed into puff pasty) and the cevap (the links with tha fabulous bread) are my favs.  The serice and decor are pretty laid back/ho hum types.  Nothing fancy, just good, interesting food.

Tried both the recommended stuffed hamburger and the meat links on the bread. It was nice to try for something different, but the staff didn't seem overly happy to see us, the hamburger was medium rare which I thought was nasty. The links were ok, the bread and sauce with the links was good. Nothing overly great about this place at all in my opinion, but maybe trying some other things would prove better results. I wouldn't go back again.

They NEVER answer the phone, forget ordering something to go.  They run out of everything recommended.  Food Netwotk would be so dissapointed with the AFTERMATH of their show on your restr.

WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT don't waist your precious time; there are WAY too many GREAT restaurants in H-town to wait on this HOT Mess of a restaurant.  They so don't have it together. It's not worth the WAIT.  There is ABSOLUTELY "NO" atmosphere and and the food is allright. We need to have them take this place OFF Food Network b/c they can't hang in this town-especially service and deco wise.  They totally screwed up our order...

Can't really give the place a rating yet, as both times my wife and I tried to go to it, it was packed and there were at least 15 to 20 people ahead of us.  It's a really small place, and we fully intend to try again, just need to figure out when to come.

I tried the Lamb Shank and I was very impressed! It was a lot like homemade pot roast but with a very unique flavor.  I live across town and I'm looking for an excuse to go back and try more dishes!

I live a block from here. It's basically some kind of flavored ground meet, beef, and lamb, grilled and put on a puffy piece of pita bread. If you're in the neighborhood, and want something different, and you like meat, it's really hard to beat this place. But, I wouldn't drive across town for it. It's really good, but not great.

We eat at this place every single week multiple times per week!  For a $4.99 Turkish sandwich, gyro, or burek, it can't be beaten! I love cafe pita!
