We watch DDD all the time.. Guy was being polite when he gave this a thumbs up. We had the meatloaf and sauerbraten. Both tasteless, and way overpriced for the size plate we were given. Nothing special here. Even my beer wasn't as cold as it should be. Service was bad but it was a Saturday at Xmas time so it could be this time of year - it was packed. Don't waste your time or money here.

We wanted to try this place. Had it picked out as not to far out of our way. An hour before we knew we arrived we called to see how long they were open TODAY! The lady said until 4pm. We got there and they were closed to a private party, and a sign on the door they only served lunch on Fridays. Not sure why we were not told that on the phone. So we went to La Piazza Al Forno one block down.

My wife and I went there last night. The food was fantastic. We had the combo platter for two and could hardly walk out of the place.

I don't really know what is up with Guy, but this place really not special. The food is really not very much German at all. The Sour Braten is not sour, and the gravy taste's like McCormick Mix. the Spaetzle and Knodel have no flavor. the Red Cabbage and Sour Kraut is just out of a can with no spices. The only good thing here was the bread pudding. Not worth the money or time. Spend your Money at Black Forest Mill in Phoenix, or Bavarian Point in Mesa if you grave German Food!!

A little pricey for a DDD joint. Very friendly though. Awesome strudel at any price!

The Husband & I positively LOVE Haus Murphy's. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is scrumptious. And the Hubby enjoys the beer! :)
