Semi-local, having worked in Santa Fe for 25 years. Go to Bert's often. My friends and I get burgers, or tacos, or whatever, and enjoy everything immensely. In keeping with the theme of the show (Triple-D), don't expect linen tablecloths, fine dining, etc. It's a burger joint, for heaven's sake! The daily special (double patty burger, fries and soda) for less than $6 is pretty darn good for Santa Fe. And for the person who said they had a better burger at McDonald's, they're either lacking tastebuds, or sense, or trolling, or have an agenda. The small staff here whips it out fresh every day, gets it right, and makes it tasty.

From NM -- tried their Green Chili Burger, and a buffaolo burger -- Blakes Lota burger down the road is MUCH better. Buffalo Burger was not memorable. Will not go back there again. Better Burgers at Blakes or in Los Lunas NM Benny Burgers -- YUM!

My husband and I tried this and we both had the green chili burger. We thought it was hands down the BEST burger with the BEST flavor we've ever had. We are from New Mexico, so we know what a green chili is supposed to taste like. It was so good I've been craving it ever since. I wish it was a bigger burger! We highly recommend this place! You won't be sorry!

Stopped by here and ate the Green Chile Cheeseburger. It was good. They cook the burger and at the end top it with green chile and cover that with cheese. Fries were good. This is a real roadside stop with some tables outside but not much for winter seating. It is northwest of the plaza about a half mile.

Stopped here for lunch during a motorcycle trip to NM last summer. I had the lambburger and onion rings. it was good. I would probably go back, but it was not "spectacular".

Guy, I am heading out West to try out some of the most memorable diners, drive-ins, and dives, starting with the the Standard Diner in Albuquerque and then it's Flagstaff for Salsa Brava and then I am going to hit California where there's a slew of places around the San Francisco area, so we'll take some pictures, and share our opinions. God bless you!

Actually, this restaurant is Bert's Burger Bowl (not Bar). Thanks for the site, though. Good Job
