Food was great! The ricotta pancakes were really good and the polpette (searched with eggs) was FANTASTIC!

does anyone know if I can get my 5th wheel there? we are traveling through on way to NY
Amato's is a milestone stop for me on my Triple D stops. It was my twenty-fifth stop. And not only being a milestone stop, was a very good stop. Went for breakfast on my trip to Omaha and tried the ricotta cheese pancakes with raspberries and a chunk of the Italian sausage on the side. Holy amazingness. The pancakes were great, and the sausage was beyond phenominal. The server was great, and got a kick out of me celebrating my 25th stop. Saw the owner wandering around, but never got a chance to talk to him. Loved it so much tried going this morning again as left town, but they are closed on Mondays I guess. Oh well.

Pros- Authentic Italian Food Dericious Great staff and atmosphere Con Does not offer full menu on weekends :\ This place is UNREAL! I dont even like breakfast as a meal, I generally order off of the lunch menu as my cohort(s) eat breakfast. This place is the exception to my rule. The pancakes are out of this world, the ricotta definitely makes them. I always get them with some kind of fruit. The first time I went was on my birthday. Everyone ordered breakfast. I ordered an italian beef sandwich and instead of a salad or side they waitress was gracious enough to give me a side blueberry ricotta pancake. Crazy combo I know but dericious all the same!

We stopped here while traveling back to IL on a roadtrip to CO. It was the only DDD that we made it to on the trip. I had the ricotta peach pancakes and they were AMAZING! You didn't need butter or syrup these cakes were SO good :) My husband thought is omlett was "ok". My three year old scarfed her biscuits and gravy up so it must have been good. They don't have a child's menu they just make the order smaller for kids fyi. I was def. nothing special on the outside or inside but it was nice people and good coffee in random coffee mugs which I thought was a cute touch! I would def. go back for those amazing pancakes!!

This was the first Triple D restaurant my wife and I visited. We stopped for breakfast while passing through Omaha. If I hadn't seen Amato's on Triple D, I would never have stopped there on my own. It doesn't look like much on the outside, and its quite dated on the inside... but our breakfast was pretty good. I had the Ricotta blueberry pancakes. I liked it so much I now make the recipe at home. I would definitely try to revisit Amato's for dinner the next time I'm in Omaha.

We love Amatos and for years it has been our Sunday morning breakfest place. The people are wonderful especially Sammy and his star waittress Cathy. We would recommend the Ricotta pancakes with either pumpkin or peaches (depending on the season) and the gut buster omelette. Always get the bacon as it is awesome!!!!! Be prepared to smell like your meal all day but it only brings back the great full feeling you leave with.
