The shrimp and grits flooded my wife's memory of her mom's cooking! I had the banana foster french toast which was one of the top breakfasts I've ever had! It's right up there with the Hawaiian pancakes I always look forward to when going to Hawaii... highly recommend this place! Good eats, good atmosphere, good service.

Sunday brunch destination - arrived a little after 10am and had to wait about 15 minutes. Enjoyed looking at the beautiful homes nearby while waiting for a table to open. I had the b-fast sandwich with cheese grits while my friend enjoyed the Montana plate (I think that is what it was called). Fresh squeezed OJ topped off the meal. A great place that i will seek out again.

We went to Surreys for breakfast and was not disappointed. My wife and I both had the banana pancakes, which went to die for, as everyone else mentioned. My sister-in-law had French toast, which says was delicious. My brother-in-law had the banana pancakes, which he says was delicious. We all thought it was a little overpriced, but enjoyed very much all in all. It was great,

Ate at Surreys during a recent trip to New Orleans. Heard about it on DDD and it was everything I heard. The shrimp and grits was superb and the bananas foster french toast was to die for. Not fancy but good food! Im from NYC and would recommend this place to anyone.

This is a great place. Don't be surprised to see 20 people waiting to get in when you arrive. I had shrimp and grits and Sally had French toast. Both were excellent. I'll drive the 90 minutes to Have Sunday breakfast there.

My husband and I went here this morning and it was, without a doubt, the best breakfast we've ever eaten! The Bananas Foster French Toast was simply divine! Great servers, fun atmosphere -nothing but great things to say! We will definitely be going back here again before we leave the city to return home!

We ate here twice while in New Orleans. Good food in a funky atmosphere. The migas and grits are great. The banana pancake is huge and filled with bananas. A great place to start the day.

We ate here yesterday on March 29th - Great food and atmosphere - The corned beef hash was chunky, well-spiced, and delicious. The Crab omlette was very good. Would go back anytime

Cute place, yummy huevos rancheros, and we had a very nice server. The juices were overpriced, however.

Unbelievable breakfast. The homemade lox (smoked salmon) and bagels were fantastic. The place isn't much to look at but the food exceeds all expectations.

My wife and I ate lunch at Surreys the last day of our trip and loved it. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was great, and the atmosphere was pure New Orleans. Thanks Guido!

It amazes me how a resturant that presses it own wheat grass and touts its all natural hand squeezed juice can serve a reuben so greasy that I am left sick the rest of the day. I didn't even finish the whole thing. Very very disappointing.
