Has anybody here tried Bronx Pizza on Washington Street? I love that place and hold it as my basis for comparison.

I'm a born and raised new Yorker, so when I found out I was moving to San Diego I had to give it a try. Not anywhere near the best pizza I've had but probably the best "NY pizza" outside NY that I've had. I'd go again.Ps: those stars don't work

Love this place, best pizza I've ever had and always pay a visit when we're in the San Diego area. Bring cash though, it's cash only.

Made a special trip to this place because of Triple D - The place was dirty, empty, and the pizza was reheated and served with a burnt crust. Worst pizza we have ever tasted, and could not believe this was a Triple D. Needless to say we skipped the other two Triple D's in San Diego area. From Alberta, Canada

We were visiting San Diego, CA. My husband told me to look up if there are any DDD places in the area. Found this place. Ate it for lunch on the way in on a Sunday afternoon. WOW - loved it. It was awesome. We all shared different types, Spinach w/ Ricotta; Meatball w/ Ricotta; BBQ Chicken; Pesto; and a couple others. On our way out of town on Tuesday, we had to go again. Highly recommend. The service is fabulous as well.

Food was bland and overrated. I wouldn't walk across the street for it.

Didn't feel like a sit down restaurant, so I stopped in. Boy am I glad I did. The staff is a side show in ink. you can spend hours checking out the tattoo's, but they are so friendly and open, it turns the visit into a great experience. And by the way, this might just be the best pizza in town. Choosing from amongst their varieties is very hard. Any one ofthe pizzas with a meat topping is something you will never forget. I actually ordered 8 different slices and had a ball going through them all.
