Don't bother. Everything needed seasoning. Chicken over cooked and dry under the crust. Nothing was salted. Had to st everything and I usually don't salt stuff when I eat out. Bathroom outside like an old gas station. Maybe should be on Restaurant Impossible instead. Sorry won't be going back.

The Onion Rings were the best- the crust was crunchy, stayed as a complete crust ring, and not oily. There were no seasoning in any of our meal items. No taste on the Burger, Oysters, Chicken, Fries, Cornbread, and no refills. This is a great place for a person who has a no seasoning diet. Not recommended. Shame on you Guy

Stereotypical Texas diner. Oysters weren't that great, but those onions rings looked amazing- I was jealous whenever I saw someone order plate, as I knew I could never finish them by myself. Not sure what was up with the bathroom and having to go outside to get to it. Wish they'd fix that.

Is was okay. Not worth the hype and travel. The Pies were home made and very good. The Chicken Fried Steak was really good and so was the onion rings. But the selection of drinks and service were bad to include the tuff and dry "Hot Pork Meal". It was a small portion and the gravy was too salty. I would take the Crackle Barrel over this place any day.

Really enjoyed eating at this place. I had a hard time locating it as I was not from the area and parking difficult. Pleased with meal, service and price.

The chicken fried steak was very disapointing, to much breading, not very good. Prices to high for quality.

The chicken fried steak was enormous and good with the brown gravy. The salad was out of the costco bag and salad dressing was slopped on. The onion rings were sweet and crunchy. The staff seemed put out at our being there. Overall, the food was very good, the service and presentation "crusty" at best.

Tip Top captures the spirit of a true Southern Diner with home cooking and healthy sized portions. Comfort food and home made pies are on the menu. The staff exzudes hospitality...a resturant not to be missed when visiting San Antonio.
