Went back for revisit on my way out of Minneapolis the other day. Love this place. Great dogs and drive in fries were phenominal. Four of us ate for $25 and we had tons of food. They don't need to change or clean a thing, would lose it's charm.

the place is just that a dive.... its not suppose to be a 5 star restaurant, i have visited a few times and like the atmosphere and the food is good. they are dogs and fries its not sushi and steaks, it is a great little place with good eats i have sent my friends there. Stop by, sit down, relax and try a couple dogs...

The Roast beef was great--you could really taste the garlic but the Italian sausage was dried out. The Chicago dog was good but smaller than we thought. I would eat there again but the place really needs a GOOD CLEANING and more to drink than just water.

The hot dogs were ok, but nothing special. As others have commented, very dirty. I love dives, but this was way beyond the charm of a dive. The service was slow and unfriendly. They only take cash and don't have an ATM on site, so have to go elsewhere if you didn't bring your money. It's in a busy location near the University and likely appeals more to students on a budget.

Stopped by here when was in Minneapolis last Nov. to see Zane Lamprey's Sing's the Booze concert. Perfect stop for early lunch after watching a concert all about drinking the night before (we were a little hung over). Loved the whole dive feel of the place. And is the best hot dogs I've ever had. Can't wait to go back again.

From the people complaining about how "gross" this place is. It's called a DIVE, I'm guessing you don't know what that term means. It was small and old, but food was great. Defineitly a dive but we had a great time.

This place was just gross. Layer of filth over everything. My hands were gray after touching the table. Dogs were admittedly pretty good, but nothing fancy. But the place was so disgusting that I didn't have much of an appetite. It's nothing like the clip from the show - they must have been there a long long time ago.

Drove from Winnipeg, Maitoba, Canada for a 4 day DDD Minneapolis foodfest! This place is a total Dive but the food is incredible! Had the spicy Italian combo with Drive-In fries... awesome!

This place was nasty and EXTREMELY dirty!!! I am not a clean freak but the only reason I stayed here was because I was forced by the other three people in my party. I am no health inspector but I'd say this place probably would not pass.

Not sure how they got the camera crew in this place, but glad they did. Good service, friendly. Dogs are wonderfully good. Peace coffee too Best cup of Joe ever.

This place is great. If you want a great dog with fries at a great price you can't pass it up. Had the Chicago dog that had some spice on the peppers but was wonderful overall. The Drive In Fries were incredible - chili cheese fries with coleslaw - I know, I wasn't sure but they were killer good. Place has very little seating so hopefully you hit it when it is not crowded. Unusual neighborhood off the beaten path. Ask about the photo wrist bands hanging from the counter - they are close to the jail and when the guys get out if they give them the wrist band they can get a free dog!!!
